All show jumping classes will be run under BSJA rules. Knock down, refusal, disobedience-4 faults. More than two refusals will incur elimination. Fall of horse or/and rider incurs elimination.
All show jumping classes with the will be run in 2 Phase but CHRC Reserve the right to change format as necessary
In classes in which there are two sections please make clear which section you wish to enter,
(A = Ponies 14.2hh & under, B = Horses over 14.2hh)
A maximum of three competitive jumping classes for any one horse/pony.

Equine Sports UK (ESUK)
This show is affiliated to Equine Sports UK (ESUK) Grassroots Championships taking place at Arena UK, Grantham, Lincolnshire on the 25th-27th July 2024. The three highest placed exhibits will qualify in each class
Sunshine Tour Championships The All-England Showground, Hickstead Thursday 12th – Sunday 15th September 2024 This show is a qualifier for The Sunshine Tour Championships held at The AllEngland Showground, Hickstead from Thursday 12th – Sunday 15th September 2024. The Championships are for unaffiliated and amateur competitors in Dressage from Intro to Elementary, Show Jumping from Lead Rein to 1.0m; Showing for lead rein, in-hand, ridden, working hunter, veterans, plus many more, Eventer’s Challenge from 50cm through to 90cm. Qualification: Dressage & Show Jumping 1st – 3rd place; Showing & Eventers Challenge 1st – 4th place. Qualification does not pass down the line. Registration of qualification must be completed within 1 month of competition (sooner for late July shows). Restrictions apply to both horse and competitor’s previous winnings and amateur status, please check the website for Terms & Conditions. This show is affiliated to Concours d’Elegance Society First, second and third placed horses/ponies not already qualified in eligible classes will qualify for the Champion of Britain Title classes to be held at Onley Equestrian Centre, Rugby, Warwickshire on Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th August 2024. If a horse/pony has already qualified, cards may be handed down to 6th place at judge’s discretion. Each qualified horse/pony will receive a qualification card in the ring which will enable the owner to enter the Championship Show, provided the owner and rider/handler are, or become registered with the Concours d’Elegance Society within 21 days of the qualifying show. • The judge’s decision is final. • Any objections or complaints must be made to the secretary in writing together with a deposit of £50 which will be forfeited if the objection is not up held, or is frivolous. The objection/complaint must be submitted within 30minutes of the incident. • All ages as of the 1st January in the current year • Show jumping classes will be judged under BSJA rules. • Maximum of 3 competitive jumping classes per horse/pony. • Please use litter bins provided. • All dogs must be kept on a lead and poops scooped. • The organizers reserve the right to cancel or amend a class at any time. • Excessive use of artificial aids or abuse of horse/ponies will not be tolerated, any person seen to be doing so, will be asked to leave the showground. • The club or its officials cannot be held responsible for damage loss or injury to persons or animals due to accident or any other cause. • The organizers have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and obey instructions of the organizers. • Correct attire and footwear must be worn at all times when mounted. • Hard hats to be worn at all times with chin strap securely fastened all current standards to be met – See BRC website for guidance • Fall of rider. Rider will not be allowed to remount and will be asked to leave the arena on foot. • All annual trophies must be returned in a clean condition – no later than 6 weeks prior to the presentation. Penalties will apply to those failing to do so. • No horse/pony to be entered twice competitively in any one class. • Lead rein ponies must compete in snaffle bits with lead rein attached to noseband • The Committee reserve the right to decline membership and access to the grounds, events and facilities should the need arise Stallions are allowed in classes but must be handled by competent handler aged 16 or over Reminder: This club operates a Zero Tolerance policy to any form of abuse at all events held on behalf of the members.
