Entries close the preceding Thursday at 9am. Late entries will be taken at a £3 charge per class. If classes are full a waiting list will be kept.
OPEN/RESTRICTED SECTIONS – DRESSAGE ONLY CLASSES:
Classes at Introductory and Preliminary level will be split into OPEN and RESTRICTED sections if there are more than six starters.
The RESTRICTED section is open only to combinations who have not been placed first or second at the level of the class or above more than three times with a score of more than 65.00% or who have not been placed first or second at a Championship at the level of the class or above. The OPEN section is open to all, including horses/ponies and riders who are currently registered with British Dressage. The appropriate classes at Championships will also be split accordingly.
WE WILL ONLY SPLIT SECTIONS IF THERE ARE 10 OR MORE STARTERS PER CLASS
Classes will be judged under BD rules. Bridle numbers OR saddle pad numbers must be worn. ONE ON EACH SIDE
Horses may only enter once in each class competitively.
Any objections or complaints MUST be done so through a legitimate complaints procedure. You must place a £10.00 deposit alongside your written complaint. This complaint will then be assessed by the executive committee. If your complaint is found to be legitimate, you will be refunded your £10.00.

Payment is secure and it goes directly to Solihull Riding Club.
You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment. Please check your email to confirm payment was successful.

Vouchers can be redeemed against future entry fees, hire of facilities and membership (50% payment in vouchers maximum – please see terms and conditions)
Rosettes to 6th place in each section.

The series will run on a points system for each class to 10th place.
1st = 10 points
2nd = 9 points
3rd = 8 points
4th = 7 points
5th = 6 points
6th = 5 points
7th = 4 points
8th = 3 points
9th = 2 points
10th = 1 point
To qualify for the championship class you need to of obtained 5 points or more!
Qualifiers for the SRC Championships 20th September 2023. Championship show:
For the championship show, there will be additional sections of junior and senior. Competitors will be sectioned into RESTRICTED and OPEN by the event team at the point of issuing times according to your qualification status.
All competitions until April are first-round qualifiers for Trailblazers up until the 6th of May. 6th of May – Dressage Second Rounds.
Trailblazers
DRESSAGE
• Remains a two-round process.
• Riders scoring 58% or more will be eligible to buy a second-round qualification card.
• The 2nd round card purchased from you will be returned by the rider to Trailblazers for registration of their details.
o Rider will then be emailed a Championship qualification form for the relevant level and horse stated on card.
• All venues which run dressage must also run one dressage second round scheduled between 1 April 2022 and 30 June 2022.
o Second round date to be agreed with Trailblazers by 1 March 2022 to minimise clashes between venues in close proximity.
• At dressage second rounds top 6 in class qualify for Championships (see Dressage rules 11.2).
o Venues sign off the form provided by rider to confirm horse/rider achieved a qualifying place.
o Rider is responsible for returning form to Trailblazers.
o Venues do not need to send in details of qualified riders after second rounds – less administration, though a copy of class results is helpful.
o Trailblazers may contact venues for verification if results not posted on website in case of queries.
Withdrawals: - In the unfortunate event of withdrawal, please advise the secretary by 9am on the Monday prior to the competition.
We regret no refunds will be made once times are issued.
No transfers will be made after 9am on the preceding day.
HATS must be worn whenever mounted and up to the current safety standard.
ONLY Jockey skull hats without a peak (greater than 5mm smooth and rounded in nature) may be worn for cross country. Hat silks may be worn with flexible peak. It must also comply with safety standards for hats.
BODY PROTECTORS A body protector is obligatory for all arena eventing and cross-country events and are also strongly recommended for all show jumping events. Body protectors should be fitted and worn as per the manufacturer’s instructions. If a rider chooses to wear an airbag style body protector it must be worn over a permitted body protector and if activated, must be deflated or removed before continuing. Hybrid Air jackets and Helite Air Jackets are permitted. It is recommended that body protectors are replaced once they are more than 5 years old. Riders wearing Exo Body Cage protectors must inform the secretary at all events.
CORRECT dress & footwear with defined heels must be worn.
ALL horses and ponies must be four years old and over. ALL Riders to be 4 years old and over.
ENTRIES accepted at rider’s risk. SRC reserve the right to refuse an entry at their discretion, cancel, amend or amalgamate any class for any reason whatsoever. The Judge’s decision is final.
INSURANCE Each competitor must carry their own liability insurance whether Riding Club, Pony Club, BHS, BS, BD, BE or independent cover.
HEALTH & SAFETY The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards. Those attending this event must report any accidents to the secretary or organizer of the event
Please do not leave unattended horses tied to lorries and no hay nets to be tied to the outside of lorries or trailers.
Solihull Riding Club welcomes responsible dog owners. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
