We have the fabulous opportunity to hold an adult only camp for WRC members with Matt Hicks at Hurstbourne Equestrian. The itinerary is as follows;
Day 1: Arrive 9am.

Price £355.00 each camper
45 minute group polework lesson
45 minute Semi-private flatwork lesson

Day 2
30 minute private flatwork lesson
Test riding session 


Use of onsite hacking 
Lunch both days 
Evening Meal on Tuesday evening
1 night stabling with 1 bale of Bedding

Day Guest including lunch and supper on Monday £40.00 and Lunch on Tuesday £25.00
We can offer hook up at £10.00

Extra Bedding £10.00 per bale

Payment Details & Event Fees

PRE-ENTRIES ONLY. Entries preferred through www.myridinglife.com, our Secure Online Entry System. Payment is secure and it goes directly to WRC.
You will receive an email confirmation of your entry and payment.

The price includes the following;
Stable for the duration of camp.1 bale of Bedding wil be provided but hay will not be provided. Extra bales can be purchased at the cost of £10.
Use of the gallops for hacking.
Use of day room with fridge and microwave Tea & Coffee Lunch on both days Supper on the 24th September (You will need to bring your own breakfast) You can stay onsite in your lorry/trailer or camp.
Toilets and showers are on site.

Withdrawals/Refunds

Should you need to Withdraw;


Withdrawals will be subject to an administration charge of £50.00. After the closing date of 25 August refunds will only be made after receipt of either a vet’s certificate or a doctor’s note; the refund will be 50% of the cost of camp minus the administration fee of £50.00. However, if the place can be filled the £50.00 admin fee will only apply.

Refund of entry fees

As a general rule refunds will not be permitted & are at the discretion of the event organising committee member. If your space can be filled then a refund may be allowed, minus any booking fees.

Health & safety

As organisers & managers of Winchester Riding Club we take all reasonable precautions to ensure the health & safety of everyone present at our activities .However, horse riding is a risk sport , &   consequently we do not accept liability for any loss, accident or damage to any person, animal, vehicle or goods occurring in connection with any of our events. Instructions of the organisers & all WRC officials & stewards must be adhered to at all times.

Fall of horse /rider

As a club we have a duty of care to our members/riders. Therefore, for the avoidance of doubt, the following procedure will apply at all WRC events:

If you have a fall (horse or rider) anywhere at a WRC venue you may not remount until your situation has been assessed & discussed with two 1st aid trained committee members or an authorised trainer & one committee member.

Hats & Body Protectors

Your riding hat should now have the standard, PAS 015:2011, SNELL 2016, VG1 01.040 2014-12 with either a BSI Kitemark or a Inspec IC Mark, ASTM F1163 2004a or 04a onwards which must have a SEI mark or AS/NZS 3838 2006 onwards which must have a SAI Global Mark.

 

Body protectors should have the standard 2009 or above, however keep in mind when buying a new body protector that from the 01st January 2024, 2009 body protectors will be abolished, and you should only ride in a body protector with a BETA 2018 label in.
